Successful Application: Top cleaner greenhouse deck

Another successful application from our parters in Netherlands Innomotion.

On below video new top cleaner unit for cleaning the glass roofs of greenhouses, and since last year fully equipped with delta inverters

For the cleaning brushes they use VFD-L, And to drive the car over the roof our VFD-E.
And finally to control all the sequence a simple SS2 makes all the job.

Successful Application: 11 Axis Cutting / profiling machine

Another successful application from our Netherlands distributor Innomotion.

This time is a Woodcutting / Profiling machine with 11 axis control!

As you can see on the picture our partners use 7 VFD-E drives for transportation and high speed spindle, and 4 servodrives ASDA-A2 400W for the cutting/profiling.
Everything controlled by central CPU with Master CANopen module (DVPCOPM-SL).

Via the PC Cad drawings are imported to the Machine and machine settings are executed. The PLC is controlling all the I/O and servo’s for the motion.
In this machine the wooden boards for the stairs are cut to length , width and angle on front and end of the board. The PC software is written in Labview.

Succsessful Application: Galvanizing production line on metal industry

Another Delta successful application!

This time, the problem comes because of the big number of drives needed for the application.
Up to 68 Slaves to be controlled by a PLC, and even in Modus the theoretic limit is 128 nodes, the ones who are really in the field should know than more than 32 nodes means big troubles.

According to this, we recommend to our customer to use CANOpen in two different CANOpen Networks of 34 slaves each.

Succesful Application: Electric Concrete Truck

This is a new application for our Netherlands distributor Innomotion.
The idea is to make a concrete truck more economic and silent.

Normally the drum is turned with diesel power (hydraulics) from the truck.
Now the drum is loaded at the factory on electric power (cable) and on the road a small generator is supplying just enough power for slow turning and unloading of the truck.

It will save fuel but most of all were possible the truck can unload on the cable so in the innercities there is less pollution on the building site and less noise.

Inside the big cabinet there is a C2000 45KW delta PLC and HMI.

Successful Aplication: C2000 for Injection Molding Machine

Injection Molding machines is a quite common application, because of that, Delta develop several solution depending on the different type of injection moldign machine.

In frirst place, we develop specific solution for this application called HES
This system provides precise pressure and flow controls, with our Delta key point in power: The energy savings.
In this moments, this product is under field test in Asia, and really soon on the rest of the world!

But for standard systems we got another solution.
Probably many of you already hear about our new C2000 Delta Inverter series, and possibly many of you already work with it in some application.
So this is one of the multiple ways to squeeze the capabilities of this versatile product.

Hybrid System based on C2000

The keypoint in this system is use the internal PLC and the PG card (encoder feedback) of C2000 to create a standalone control system able to adjust itself without any extra controller.

Succesful Application: DVP20PM + DOPB-PS and G-Code download feature

Today, were going to talk about motion control.
There´s a PLC not released in many countries, but capable to manage up to 3 axis using step and direction control, is called DVP20PM or PM series.

This PLC needs special software called PMSoft, available on the web for free, as always.
This software a part from be able to program DVP20PM, it have the capability to work with G-Code files

PM-Soft Software

The G-Code files are a codified files that transform a Autocad file into a motion control trajectories, making the programming of motion control systems really easy.
Thanks to that codification, you can cut a difficult wood profile for example, designed previously using Autocad, and avoiding the hard PLC programming work to the engineer.

The problem that customer use to have with DVP20PM is when customer want to change the cutting profile of their product, because in that occasions, the Computer is needed, and not always our customer have a computer on the machine, isn’t it!

G-Code DVP20PM Download

Here, is where appears our new DOP-PS models, already available in EMEA region.
With this HMI´s your customer have the capability to change the G-Code profile only with one USB disk, following the next process:
1. Create Autocad File
2. Transform to G-Code and copy to USB disk
3. Connect the USB Disk to the DOPB-PS and download it to the 20PM
4. Run the program!

According to that, our HMI team prepares for us the complete following example where we´re going to cut an Scorpion picture profile into our 20PM.

As you should understand this really simple kind of CNC tool could be applied to many kind of applications, from Wood cutting, plasma, or gluing, to stone grinding or even metal cutting!

Successful Applications: Barcode Reader with USB Interface

Many of you ask me for Barcode application.

Probably in all the factories of the world, is necessary to codify the items produced in some central computer.
And the most typical way is using barcodes, I am pretty sure that all of you already seen some.

In the past, the Barcodes readers sent the information to the computer/HMI using RS232 serial port, but obviously the interface has changed lately to USB or wireless readers.
According to that, we would like to share our experience with the following factory configuration

Successful Application: Washing Machine

Long time ago I got the opportunity to program by myself an industrial Washing Machine.
In my case I remember to use:
– DOPAS35THTD -> Is what we got on this time.
– DTC1000 -> with PT100 sensor
– DVP10SX11R -> To be able to control the inverter using analog output, and using the analog input for pressure sensor)
– VFD-E inverter -> To be able to use OOB (out of balance) function specially designed for washing Machines.

OOB or Out of balance is a firmware instruction used during the spin stage, to stops automatically slows down the inverter when the clothes are not perfectly centred.
This special function is not really common on other brand inverters, so be aware washing machine makers!

In this case the Global Service Centre uses different kind of elements, but with the same result.
