This is a new application for our Netherlands distributor Innomotion.
The idea is to make a concrete truck more economic and silent.
Normally the drum is turned with diesel power (hydraulics) from the truck.
Now the drum is loaded at the factory on electric power (cable) and on the road a small generator is supplying just enough power for slow turning and unloading of the truck.
It will save fuel but most of all were possible the truck can unload on the cable so in the innercities there is less pollution on the building site and less noise.
Inside the big cabinet there is a C2000 45KW delta PLC and HMI.
Nice eco-project Innomotion!
Dank u wel

I don’t want to argue on the right or wrong of this project. It is technically working and it works on the PLC of the C2000 inverter. It is a first developement and there will be improvements also on the energy consumption of the system but that is not our side of this project.

This truck is just a toy for a grownup men. Where is this ecology in the project? Electric powered motor all by its own is not ecological, because it needs electric power. I suppose you do not think that electric power grows up on the trees like an apples or from the ground as potatoes… You have to generate electric power from other kind of classic chemical or nuclear energy types – diesel, petrol, gas, coul, uranium and so on. So there is no ecology in this project. Besides in the attached video engineers washing truck and unloading water from the truck to the ground there they are standing and all of this is next to high voltage 400VAC electric cabinet. One day it could happen a disaster because of fatal electrick shock.

Hello Thomas, electric power can be generated by solar, wind or thermal energy. But combustion motor, only works with petrol.
I agreed with you that this is not the greener solution ever, but is better than the older solution, don’t you think?
And don’t worry about electric shock, that´s why the IP degrees where categorized.

Solar, wind, hydro and other renewable power plants really are “greener” as you said. I agree on that. But the AC electric motor is powered by a generator, which burns diesel :) Energy transitions are always at a loss. Thus, the chemical energy of diesel trasit into internal combustion engine mechanical energy. Then internal combustion engine mechanical energy into generator electrical energy. Then again from electrical energy into AC motor mechanical energy. So many energy transitions, thus losses must be wery big. Also on the construction sites there are a very good chance that something will fall down and cut the high voltage wires or brakes elektrical cabinet. So good IP will not help to prevent risk of electrical shock. I do not think it’s a safe solution.
DELTA has acomplished a many good projects and I like DELTA products. I use DELTA products my self about 8 years. I am automation engineer myself. But this project is on the question “is it really good solution for the concrete truck”?

Dear Nghia,
I’m afraid but our distributor in the Netherlands do not disclose any more information about this project.
I guess they have some kind of non-disclosure agreement with the end user, due this tool is really a market niche
Sorry due I couldn’t help you any more…

Nice Project!
You can explain detail for application.
My company ‘s distributor of Delta in Vietnam, so I want to know details for this application. Thanks
