Hi. I am having trouble communicating DVP-SS2 plc with DOP-103BQ HMI. It seems that the HMI only writes data into the PLC but does not read data from the PLC. Say for example, I have a numeric entry in my HMI,if I enter a number it will write it into the data bit in the PLC, but if I want to read a data from the PLC in the HMI, HMI does not read the data. The devies are connected by RS232. How can I solve this? Thanks.

In delta plc there is only one command to read or write modbus with function code which is MODRW..
if i have multiple slaves How can I enter the function code because there is no data register to enter function code …
data register for read and write data from slave valid but for function code invalid.
What I do for function code?

Cannot find a way to create a DUT (Status) which is an array of 16 x BOOL with each bit defined individually…ie
Status.RFB
Status.TRIP
……………etc
Status.FAULT
Status.RESET
If I select an ARRAY [0..15] OF BOOL, I cannot define each bit. I want to be able to use the Status.XXX in the application logic and to assist anybody in future understanding or debugging.
If I define 16 x BOOLS, system uses 16 x WORDS when creating them Dxxxx.0, Dxxxx+1.0 etc I accept I could get this to work but it seems extremely wasteful and I am wary of what my peers would think of such poor engineering. It could also create comms bandwidth issues.
Other PLC systems allow me to define a WORD as Status, then I can edit each bit easily using only 1 x WORD.
I have tried embedding DUT within DUT but the problem seems to remain as I am unable to define a single bit within an array or a bit within a WORD.
Can anybody help please?

I’m having some strange issues with a DELTA DVP-20M when I try to download new Gcode. When we first power on the DVP-20M, any time we download the Gcode the DVP will lock up. If I download the program back into the DVP and set it to “run” mode, we can then download Gcode all day long. If I update the program and download that into the DVP, the Gcode download will still work fine. It only locks up when we turn the power off to the DVP and then turn power back on.
Anyone else seen this issue?

Many will do the job, I would suggest the best supported package is often the right answer. I recall Delta were offering a simple PC Based SCADA/HMI. I remember it was also a free download.

Having troubles downloading some things here. Specifically dvp_communications_protocol.doc
Part of the error message is:
Culture is not supported.
Parameter name: name
en-US/control/plc/download/software/DVP_ communication Protocol.doc is an invalid culture identifier.
The message is too long to include all of it.
Is anyone still maintaining this website?

Hi, I have a DOP 7E515 HMI connected to a PLC via RS232 port.
The ethernet port is currently connected to the internet and I can connect using the Eremote software.
My current problem is that I cannot connect to the PLC through the internet. I try to configure COMMGR using EthernetLink but I can’t make upload from PLC

Hello, I have a DOP-110WS and on start up a pop up displays ” HMI program error – Fail to check CIN File” and the only options on the screen are System info and Format HMI. DOPsoft alsso fails to connect to USB port ( Have uninstalled/reinstalled driver in Environment with no change) Any suggestions?

I am having some trouble with ISPsoft and the use of subroutines and their instructions (API1 CALL, API2 SRET, API6 FEND), our PLC model is DVP60ES2-TE.
Do you have any material which shows the use of these instruction? Or do you have a program example written in ISPsoft?
All the material I can find refers to the designation of P identifiers (P0-P256) however there is no information about how to designate this address to a section of a program or to an individual program.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello everybody.
Perhaps this short tip be useful for somewbody.
I was programming a DVP-SA2 PLC with a DOP-B07S411 and I needed that when the emergency button be pressed the HMI automatically goes to an special HMI screen.
How do I it?
Well, you’ve to go to the DOPSOFT software, after setup the project go to Options Menu, there to Configuration.
From the left colum menu options choose “Control Block”.
Define there the “Control Address” (I put a data register D4). Mark “Screen number” option and over the dots (…) put the same Data register.
From the PLC modifying the D4 content you can choose the Screen you wanna.
Hope this be useful for somebody.

Hi, Im Cedric from South Africa – Durban.
Ive been successful at logging to usb on the HMI with Trigger being Timer with historical trend graph.
Can I set the trigger being PLC to enable logging on Change-of-State only instead of logging on Timer continously?
Im trying to logg a run status of a Pump through a Delta PLC.
Setting the trigger to PLC doesnt seem to work even when changing control word. I can set the ‘Enable’ on the Hist Tend graph to a data point but this just enables the view, it still trends as per sampling style.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello and happy new year At this point I am trying to communicate a TP70P-RM0 with the TPEditor V1.88 (since with 1.60 the screen does not exist) and I get “Communication is time out” and when it really tries to communicate, the error “Machine Type error! “. Currently the screen does not have the RUN / STOP switch … my question is: Would you miss this RUN / STOP switch to be able to communicate with the HMI? What happened to me?

Hi, I need some help please in selecting the correct Ah500 hardware for a network, I have one Master CPU AH500 with some I/O on one backplane, then a Remote station 50m away with some i/o, then also another remote station over a fiber network 400m away, what i want to find out is i only want one CPU, with ladder controlling all 3 stations in the master CPU. Is this possible over ethernet? or does it have to be via the Devicenet modules? if Devicenet, how do i select the correct hardware/network modules (excluding I/O) for each station including the one 400m away over fiber?

Problems with TP70P-21EX1R.
I `am making new project with this new display-plc. i never work on it before. So i wrote PLC program and display program and start to write to TP. here my problems began. TP not recognizing communication port. after some researches i find usb driver for TP70 series on Delta web. after installation the driver problem was not resolved. At one moment TP connected to PC but disconected again and thats it was. Please if somone or maybe Delta can help with that problem. No problem with PC (tried on several other machines and OS), no problem with USB cable also tried.

Dear Jorge,
You should disable USC (User Acces Control). Control panel in windows 7 ‘User Accounts in Family Safety’-> Click on ‘User Accounts’ -> ‘Change User Account Control Settings’.
It wont ask for administrator permission again. Unfortunatly in Win8,Win10 you cant fully disable this function.

I’m using Delta PLC and Drives for the first time. Overall i like lots of it, there are some bugs. Two of them are a real pain:
Using ISP soft to program network type SE PLC
1) When the datatype is ‘Word’ i’m not able to set a negative initial value, or any value above 32,767.
2) When setting an initial value, after the PLC is in RUN all parameters are value 0… It takes minutes before the value changes into it’s initial value (and sometimes i have to restore PLC to factory defaults, as it won’t pick up the initial value i’ve set)

When M1025 (run motor ) =OН , Min- Xn – not working ,not read
2. PLC DVP12SE – Wi-Fi -tablet Android4.0 with DeltaSmartviewer
PLC D0=1234 ……DeltaSmartviewer D0 = 1234……ok
PLC D4= -535 ……DeltaSmartviewer D4= 65000……????
3. DVP12SE – Wi-Fi -tablet Android4.0 with DeltaSmartviewer
-WiFi connections work .
When DVP12SE +DVP06AD-S – Wi-Fi –
tablet Android4.0 with DeltaSmartviewer
or smartfone with DeltaSmartviewer
-WiFi connections not working… ??

We need help to communicate a Schneider Premium PLC with a screen DOPB Delta series.
We are trying to do it with Ethernet Modbus TCP / IP protocol since we no communication with him Unitelway Modicon RS 485.
