Announcement – DOPSoft v1.01.02 release

New DOPSoft version!

And this version is ready for all the new HMI ready to be released this Xmas dates on Europe:
DOPB03S211 (new small HMI)
DOPB03E211 (new Ethernet small HMI)
DOPB07S401K (7 inch Button HMI)
DOPB07PS515 (7 inch Professional model)

This version comes with new eRemote and eServer versions completing the HMI suite.
Where in my opinion the most important improving is the HMI web browser function.

Successful Application – Profibus communication with VFD-EL & CME-PD01

It’s well known that Profibus is quite extended within industrial enviroment.
But this doesn’t mean that you need to use Siemens inverter when the fieldbus network is already setup!

We know that Simatic Step7 is not a piece of cake…
So, on the tutorial below you will find step by step, how to manage Simatic Step7 to be able to add Delta Inverter VFD-EL (with Profibus card CMA-PD01) into some profibus network.

Probably you will need GDS file.
GSD file (For VFD-B, VFD-F, VFD-M, VFD-S, VFD-L, VFD-E)
GSD for CME-PD01 GSD

Welcome to the wizards again!

Just yesterday new version of WPLSoft v2.31 has been released on Delta website.
If you want to check the improvements, don´t hesitate to download the following Technical Announcement.

Technical Announcement – PNP connection to Delta Servodrive

This is dedicated for European customers.
Mainly PNP is used exclusively in Europe, some machines in Middle East, but America and Asia and completely NPN.
That’s why in the first place our servo drive inputs are only compatible for NPN PLC output (like our Delta PLC’s).

But what happen If my customer is really used to work with his European brand PLC, but he wants to test our servo drives?
In this case we suggest the following PNP connection for ASDA-A2.

Furthermore, in the attached file you will find all the other suggested connections for the other servo drive series.

And because or FTP has been not organized since 5 years ago.

New Product Announcement: DVP-SV2 / DVP-EH3

Since the release of the new S2 series, Delta range have been orphan of new High range MPU.
SV and EH2 CPU’s are powerful CPU’s but because of the huge improvement of the SA2 and SX2 CPU’s the comparisons are odious.
So those new SV2 and EH3 put again the Delta high range CPU were they must be.

We almost duplicate the program memory and increase the register number to 12000.
We add interruptions; Increase the execution speed in 4-5 times (MOV instruction in 4.8us).
Create new instructions like CSFO, DVSPO, DICF or DZRN who makes easy the control and monitorization of stepper motors in labelling or packaging applications.

New Product Announcement: DVP-SE (Ethernet Embedded CPU)

Ethernet is here.
Few days ago we intrduce DVS (Ethernet Unmanaged Switches), and today we present new CPU with Ethernet Embedded.

With SA2 core but with Ethernet port embedded, this new CPU have
two RS485 ports, and of course compatibility with all S series expansion modules (Right and Left side).

A part from the remote and high speed features from Ethernet, this device have a USB port embedded retiring the old Serial communication from the front of the CPU.
