Another useful Ethernet application with our new HMI´s is the multi-drop connection.
As you can see in the picture configuration, Multi-drop means have 2 mirror HMI´s where can be used and all the actions in one HMI, will be mirrored on the other one.
To do this, we need as always one master and one slave, or with the proper words, one Host and one Client.
Where our customers use Multidrop? The typical applicaion use to be a huge machine with several control points, printing machine, Parking, etc…
If you are interested follow the tutorial.
2. Confiurate IP addresss of Host and client on the same Range

I would like to know the same – master HMI (address 0)+slave PLC (address 1+slave VFD (address 2), VFD connected to the PLC, not to the HMI. Could slave PLC command slave VFD in such network?
Thank you!

Hi im using 2 dop-w127b with a Siemens s7 300 plc, direct mpi, plc address is 2, want to use multidrop, host communicates well, but client always says error on com2, node 1, is this multidrop supported over 485 mpi?

Dear Sir
in the above example the communication between hmi host and client;the Ethernet port is configured in host and com 2 is configured in client.Practically how we can connect between the Ethernet port and com 2 port

Delta Automation Group,
I have 2 DOP-B03E211 HMIs and 1 Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1200 PLC. I am using serial communication to the 1 HMI. Is it possible for me to add a 2nd HMI using the example above?
Thanks

Hi
Could i use PC connect to dop-B HMI with my application ? (delphi ,modbus)
October 23, 2015 at 7:55 am
Hi Delta
I have 4 x DVP-SE PLC’s connected to a DOP-B10E615 HMI and also connected to a PC via a Wifi network with static IP’s. I use eserver to log data from the HMI. I also use eremote on the PC. The problem is when I connect eremote it runs for about half a day and then disconnects. The HMI don’t want to ping and you have to switch the HMI OFF and ON again to connect to the network. Can you please help me with the problem. The system is installed at a Mine and it is difficult to gain acces to the mine to reset switch the HMI OFF an ON everytime.

hi i tried to link up 2 DOP B03E211 with 1 DVP20SX2. I succesfully linked Host B03E211, but the client B03E211 doesn’t receive anything via ethernet cable (ip i saw was configured automatically as 192.168.20.1 and the host was at 192.168.1.1). It gives me communication error 03 can’t read PLC (configured as id 1)…can you put an example with both host and guest settings…would be much help, thank you.
Question is there any way i can link both DOPB03 on the rs 485 mode 2, pin 4-9 COM 2 port with the plc? tomorrow i will try to put a switch and connect each dop b03 via ethernet switch to see what happens…otherwise i have to change the plc with ethernet DVPSE2 i think. i am building a machine which has doubled functions so are practically 2 machines in one and i needed 2 screens for each operator, each showing other parameters. Best Regards

Hello All,
Is it possible to connect by RS 485 an ES2PLC (DVP60ES200T) to a DOP-B10s615 and an inverter from WEG CWF700?

Hello,
I am trying to do something similar to this example except I am using an AB plce micrologix1200 and 2 delta DOP HMI. The AB Micrologix is connected using the DF1 serial line abd I was trying to connect the 2 Delta HMI with internet cable as suggested in the example above. I have not managed to make it work… can this work ? If not is there another solution for a similar setup?
Thank You.

Fabio,
Were you ever able to get your 2 delta DOP hmis and AB PLC micrologix 1200 working. I’m trying to do the same thing.
Thanks

Hi, I am using DOP-B07S411. right now I am using com 2 to comunicate with ASD-A2 servo driver using modbus protocol for setting servo parameter. right now I am planning to add 2 more servo driver and want to set the parameter using one HMI. Is it possible using HMI I am used now? How to configure the communication setting. Thanks

Hi – You can connect multiple slaves in parallel on a modbus “network”, they just need different addresses. These addresses are part of your Tag Table Address. For example, {Link1}1@D1110: “Link1” – in my case, COM1 is called Link1 in my communication settings, the 1@ means MODBUS module address 1, and then the address you wish to use on that module.
So you could do something like
{Link1}1@D1110 ; {Link1}2@D1110 ; {Link1}3@D1110 etc… to access the same parameter on multiple modules.

Is it possible to connect multiple Allen-Bradley PLC’s to the ethernet port to control multiple PLC’s from a DOP-B03E211? If so – how do I configure them?
January 14, 2013 at 7:05 pm
hello again, itsn’t the problem, it could be the ethernet cable, it should be straight-through ethernet lcable or Crossover Ethernet Cable???? I want to conect the HMI to my PC using ethernet for download data from 2 PLC master/slave to DOP_B
January 15, 2013 at 11:14 am
It should be straight-through ethernet cable.
If you are connecting trough switch, you can use DHCP, but If you put direct cable you have to configure the IP of your computer in the same range.
March 18, 2014 at 8:21 am
Hiii Pau Andrea …. i m Abhishek Pathak from india…. i think u should first of all configure ur pc ip in serial of ur configuration of HMI IP. then after u can use any cable straight or cross over both will be work. Just u have to care off MODBUS_TCP RTU addressing .Its so easy .

hi DELTA,
I am using a DOPB07E515 with 2 PLC DVP-10SX communicate by RS485. one of this PLC is connected with DOP-AS35THTD and I try to download some registers from DOP-B by ethernet using eServer and eRemote and both doesnt works.. How it woks??? all parameters are set but the DOP isnt recognize.
I tried many times “Search IP in Ethernet ” using eRemote configurated like the manual says, but the HMI is not found.
January 10, 2013 at 10:11 am
The typical error is forget to enable eRemote-eServer on the HMI program.
If is already enable contact with your local distributor for further analysis of the problem

Hello! I am using Delta HMI to communicate with my PLC over RS485. I wish to know more about the implementation of the Modbus driver with HMI as master[ModbusRTU.dll] . I have a few queries regarding how it works…Could you help me? Also, It would be great if you have some example or a document for such an application.

Delta Modbus is modbus standard.
Download the specifications in the manual
