How can I achieve the shortest acceleration time with the VFD without braking resistor?

1–2 minutes

The M300 and C2000 series provide TEC traction energy control. Set the deceleration time very low and activate TEC in Pr.01-49.

The TEC function increases the output voltage during deceleration, which produces losses in the motor. Losses help with braking.

Be aware that those losses put thermal stress on the motor. If deceleration happens frequently and with only short breaks in between, by all means, use a motor with built-in PTC to monitor the temperature and protect it against overheating.

In all other models as well as in case, TEC is too stressful for the motor, use Pr.01-44 to set the deceleration to automatic. The drive will then decelerate in the shortest time possible within the limits of the DC bus voltage. Pr.06-01 and Pr.06-02 allow tuning of those limits, i.e. Pr.06.00 in VFD-E.
