Is it normal for OUT1 and OUT2 both to be turned on in Dual Loop Output Control (Heating/Cooling Control) mode?

1–2 minutes

Regarding PID behavior, there is indeed a chance that OUT1 and OUT2 will be output at the same time in Dual Loop Output Control, which is a normal phenomenon. However, there are still some parameters that can be adjusted to improve this situation.

1.Dead band

If your dead band width is negative, it may have heating and cooling output at the same time.

2. Control cycle setting

For instance, if the control cycle setting is 10 seconds and the PID output is 80%, the relay ON/OFF control output will be ON for 8 seconds and OFF for 2 seconds. Similarly, when the PID output is 30%, the relay ON/OFF control output will be ON for 7 seconds and OFF for 3 seconds.
Therefore, if your control cycle is set to 10 seconds and OUT2 output is also 80%, then OUT2 will output for 8 seconds. During this 8-second output period, even if you provide a new SV, the OUT2 output can only be updated after current control cycle is over.
