How does anti-sway work and what are the main differences between anti-sway types?

1–2 minutes

Anti-Sway function is basically a function of total length of rope. There are three methods for entering rope length information into our drives. The first method is to directly enter the maximum rope length to drive in meters. This is relatively the quickest approach and does not require an encoder. The other two methods are calculating the rope length through (1) encoder feedback from hoist drive or (2) measurement of gearbox ratio as well as gear size. These later two methods also make it possible to monitor actual rope length during the operation. Then the rope length data is transferred to trolley or long travel drive(s) via either D2D serial connection or analogue signal.
