Hi,
I have added a new output module (DVP-08SN) to an existing PLC rack (CPU DVP-SE)
Didn’t have any issues programming the new module outputs and the PLC program shows to errors and once online outputs all switch and light comes on the output module to indicate output is on but output does not physically switch.
Output module has COMM supply so no issue there, any reason as to why this is occurring besides faulty output card?

HI!
I am using AS228 plc for pipe bending machine. Feed And Rotation are controlled by Servo motors.
Bend is Hydraulic with Encoder feedback.
Facing problem with bend angle are vary up to 2deg. So What can i do for Accurate Angle.

1. when i make changes on my HMI through DOPSoft i loose my Alarm history, is there a way to avoid this?
2. I am trying to put a simple counter on my HMI reading a counter bit in my ISPSoft, but when i make changes to PLC programme i loos this counter value and it goes back to Zero, is there a way to retain this Value and only reset to 0 when i make a reset bit. any help would be appreciated

Hello.
I am having issue with my PLC DVP12SE. I have connected my PLC to PC using ethernet but the PLC is not getting detected by the PC. PLC is not even showing up in DCI Soft Software were i can configure my PLC IP and other settings.

Hi I’m having problem in reading the encoder values, the inputs looks reading the pulses but high speed counters not reacting so the count value stays 0, also how to assign pulse inputs to a different pin like; x0 x1 to x2 x3. I can’t understand there is no assignment; still it counts. Is it because they came preassigned to some D… registers and C… counters? So the problem is whatever I do I can’t make the plc count the values encoder works perfectly well and plc inputs are okay; I can read some sensor values from x2 x3 x4 x5 x6 x7 but I can’t read x0 x1 values or plc doesn’t seem to read it. The lamps of x0 x1 however shows the inputs are okay.

Very interesting question. Have you got any any information about how does GMMGR communicate with other software tools. I noticed that in its configuration a port number is assigned. Have you figured out how to reach the CMMGR through that port?

Yes you can. Use Modbus ASCII and encapsulate requests with TCP/IP packets directed to the allocated port number (usually 10002) of the simulator. Or, create a VSP linked with that port and use the standard Modbus ASCII protocol.

Yes can using the Modbus ASCII protocol. Either you create a VSP linked with the simulator assigned port (default 10002) or you incapsulate your Modbus requests with TCP/IP packets directed to that port number.

No need to program extension modules. Add them and use addresses X20-X27 and Y20-Y27 for first extension module and so on.

Use this expansion modules DVP08SM11N – 8 Inputs @ 24VDC · DVP08SN11R – 8 Relay Outputs (1.5A/pt 5A Common) · DVP08SN11T – 8 Sinking Transistor Outputs (NPN).
And yes you can simulate your HMI with Real PLC.

In Dvp if i use (set y0) then by turning on y0 one time i want that y0(in rising edge) will be off and then when i switch off and turn on again y0 then y0(rising edge) turn on. Is that possible?

I have not fully understood your question, but what I can get from it is you want an alternating output.
Try ALT command in the PLC. Simulate it and see if thats what you are looking for.

I programmed a dvp-ps02 plc and a dop-107 bv, it runs fine but when ever I switch off the plc and hmi and turn them on again all the values I wrote on the hmi return back to 0, (they don’t return to the values I previously entered)

Not all the registers on the PLC save. If you want them to be saved you must use a latched register. They will be listed in the help under basic instructions/Device Range.
Usually the Latched D registers are D408-D599 The Latched M registers are M515-M767

I had the same issue when using an older version of the software (version 2.37). When I installed the newest version (currently 2.48), the issue was resolved.

Why the commgr(ver 1.09) is default to 9600,7bits,even 1bit in ascii mode for download and upload in Ispsoft(ver 3.07) in com1 of the PLC. I have done c# in modbus communication but the link to PC comport and PLC com1 is always at the default setting.Changing the commgr at higher baud will not communicate with the PC.

are you new with ispsoft or new with delta i.e. did you know about wplsoft.. you can program servo in wplsoft and letter convert it into ispsoft. an if you new with delta than you have to read servo instruction. i.e. in which mode you running it . use pulse instruction to control it. PLSV , DRVI,DRVA.. read this instruction you get a idea…if need futher help mail me.

Hi. I have a DVP12SE plc installed at a mine that frequently goes into stop mode. The Tech on site say’s that this happens every day.
She then re power the PLC and everything return to normal.

Hello, I am using a DVP-ES2 PLC and the analog IO module, 06XA-E2. D9905 is the output address of the analog signal but even if I use MOV function to move a value to this register, it still stays ‘0’. Why could this be?

How do I specify to the bit level of a word in the PLC? SV2 in ISPSoft. I can do it in the HMI when reading from other devices (ie 2520.1). Is there a way to do some version of D300.1 in the PLC for example? I want to use some bits of the word. Thanks

I apologize as this is probably low level stuff, but I am completely self taught on PLC’s and controls. I only deal with them on rare occasions when I need to figure something out myself. A lot of times I have to learn it all again. I’ve set up RS-485 protocol presumably up in ISPsoft with the DFB for Com3. Now how do I get information to registers in the PLC from the Sensor with RS-485 comms? I know I’m missing something simple and elementary.

I done it by MODRW instruction. In wizard function code 04 is not supported. You have to change it from outside. You have to also use D1296 for stored value at first time after that we can stored value in any data register like D0 or any other. This instruction i tried so much time with function code 04 and try stored value in D0 but i cant read and no data available in D0 first time then i try to stored value in D1296 and data read!!!!
I try again with MODRW, Fucntion code 04, and try to store value in D0 and data available in D0 !!!
I am surprised with this. If you know why it is then tell me.

You have 2 options to monitor or calibrate your speed, one is to use the SPD function while the other you may use SCAL to calibrate your input value of speed to your required range

simple check last bit of data… that bit is responsible for negative and positive sign… may be your registers are getting over lap … check double with that register

I am using Delta DVP14SS2. I am using an HSC on X0. The present value is available from C235. I want to move the C235 value to another register example D200 or such. But I am not able to move the value. Gives invalid command. I tried FMOVE and also tried moving to E and F registers.

Use Dmove instruction . Beacause c235 is 32 bit counter.

Use DMOV and preferably go for registers above address of 2000. Ex. D2000 and above.
Anything for C235 should be performed with Double Word Instructions

Possible fault in program or wrong use of specific registers. Double check your WDT(Watch Dog time)
If the Error LED (red) is blinking, then you need to re-check your program.

DVP28sv and DVP28sv2 please check the difference between both… while selecting plc in software check for it…. old one is 28sv and new one is 28sv2… s8sv2… here 2 is not mentioned on physical plc device.

if you want simple logic program then just.
create a numerical password (value) and cmp it with other value X
now this x value should be put in hmi. so if both are same you will get bit on. and use this bit to interlock motor.

Dear Ali, I do not know which is your problem, but im sure that 200 ppr of your encoder is not enough to use in the PID loop, maybe you need to increase the encoder at less 1000 ppr

Hello All,
I need one help in DVP SA2 series plc program. By using WPLsoft, how can i connect the pulse and signal wiring by giving an output of y0 and y1. Because the instruction to run servo drive motor is like this : “PLSY K100 K1000 Y0”
and my completion flag for Y0 output is M1029. But when adding this Memory flag of M1029 as an input of next Motor Pulse, i could not run the output of Y1, this M1029 shows ch1(Y0 and Y!) is completed. I need help in this please..

what is your source of pulses? Is it NPN/PNP open collector or Totempole? If it is open collector you can provide 24V DC directly else use a transistor lever changer

5v on the physical input is undervoltage, you need 24v to input work properly, if your pulse signal has 5v, I recomend you that use a driver optocupler with a coil in 5v and conmutting 24v to input in your X0

time out problem mainly occurs due to the following reason :
1) not setting suitable baud rate and communication protocol
2) there is loose connection in communication cable (between pc and plc)
3) check power supply of plc (24v sufficient)

Dear Sir,
I am using DVP-14SS2 with DOP-B07 HMI for a machine automation. In machine running condition some times it stops for a moment and indicates communication error 3 message on HMI. It starts working after 1 sec. automatically. This happens typically 3-4 times in a hour. I have changed communication cable but it problem not solved. I am having doubt that PLC might be stopping in running condition.
With same series PLC and same program other so many same machines are working fine from 6-7 years.
Please help to solve the problem.

Hi all, I want to ask the question about a problem of communication between a PLC DVP 12SE and network analyzer CIRCUTOR, this equipment has output RS 485 and MODBUS RTU protocol.
The communication parameters of the analyzer are:
Address 1/9600 / N / 8/1
I connected the output COM 2 (RS485) directly to the analyzer (the cable length is 3 meters away, and did not connect a terminal resistance).
(+) A (+) / (-) B (-) / SG GND
The communication parameters of the PLC are as follows.
D1120 = H81 / 9600 / N / 8/1
D1121 = 10 (PLC address)
D1129 = 1000 (time out)
M1143 = SET (RTU mode)
During testing flags are turned:
M1140 = 1 error data reception
M1129 = 1 error time out
I have been tested by changing the values of D1121 and D1120 and also the network analyzer, but I have not had a result.
I hope you can help me with this problem.

I will expand on my issue since no reply
I have a machine that will produce a text string via ethernet socket connection, very much like a serial connection would from say a bar code reader.
I would like to record this string and resend it via modbus/tcp.
I can see no where in the DVPSE or DVPEN manuals or DCI soft that references a connect(client) or listen(server) stage or status.

in your ladder program,Y0 is continusly reset by some command,,so use rising/falling edge command,then only M512 on means Y0 on

Hello again.
Now I tried to set outputs 7 and 8 (Y6 and Y7) in reality in a short program, but the LED’s corresponding to this outputs on the extension module don,t lit, I can’t access the extensions outputs.What I’m doing wrong? Please help me.

Good day. I attached an expansion module DVP08SP11R to a DVP20SX211R unit, because I need 10 outputs, but the ISPSoft gave me an error mesage [ Device input error ] when I want to set output Y8 and Y9. How can I have access to the last 2 outputs?

My daily job is answering that questions, but trough other channels (mail, skype, phone etc,…).

plc numbering system is octal number system,so u should use 0 to 7 and again starts with 10 to 17 ……….70 to 77 …and directly goes to 100 to 107 …and keeps on going

no no bro.rs 485 is 1:n connection.thats is one master and ‘n’ no.of slave.at a time one slave is able to communicate with master.
recommend to use rs-232 connection for plc and hmi & use rs-485 connection for plc and drive

I would like you to help me with my issue, I have about 50 modbus rtu sensors connected together with a daisy chain topology, and I would like to read the registers continuously and store the values of each register in delta plc memory and for this purpose I have selected DVP ES2 which has two communication interface, through COM3 I would like to collect data from modbus sensors on the rs485 bus and through COM2 I would like to read data from PLC memory to my SCADA software which supports MODBUS RTU driver over serial connection.

I have a quick question.
When compiling in WPLSoft v2.32, I am getting the error message:
“ZRST M230 M240” must be before “SET S921”
Any ideas on how I can fix this? I have physically moved the program block containing the line referenced but that does not do anything.

Hello Everyone,
I’ve Delta DVP 20EXPLC. In this PLC, we can generate the pulsed outputs at Y0 and Y1. I wish to do the single phase inverter with the help of this pulses. Now, I am using four MOSFET which are going to operate the switches for inverting operations. Basic inverting operation is at that time pair of MOSFETs only should be on, remains or OFF. The problem for me is, When I’m giving the pulses from the PLC, the pulses of 4 MOSFETs are same, It cant operate with the above format. So, I didn’t get inverted sine wave signal.
I hope that You can understand my status. If it is not sufficient, I am ready to explain deeply according to the reply. Please help me with out this problem.

Configure the PLC for communication parameters, match with configuratin for the Display(you can use the wizard in WPLsoft.).
Check voltage across A and B
Check cable.

what model of hmi are you using? check if the COM1 is possible to configurate in RS232 or RS485
with what model of PLC do you want to connect the HMI, selesct the same protocol of comunication between PLC to HMI.
